About:

Amanda Villalobos is a puppeteer and builder. She studied puppetry and performance at Sarah Lawrence College with Dan Hurlin. She has worked with downtown artist Theodora Skipitares on her Triology of Greek tragedies and Eric Novak & Sarah Provost's 'The Adventures of Charcoal Boy'. She has also worked for Lee Breuer, puppeteering in Pataphysics Penyeach at Mabou Mines and New York Theater Workshop.

Amanda is currently in rehearsal with Laurie O'Brien for "The Collector of Lies" to be performed in The Lab at St. Ann's Warehouse in June 2010.

She is also building her own puppet show, a story based on the writing of Jeanette Winterson's The Lighthouse. When not manipulating objects Amanda can be found at the computer designing stationery and print materials for a variety of freelance clients.
